Reblogged this on Jamaican Journal and commented:
This morning on my run, the wind was blowing swiftly to the west. For Kingston residents, this was a blessing. Because even though it seems the fire has arrested, yesterday, it was raging out of control. The fire I speak of was at the Riverton dump, east of Kingston. For most of the day yesterday, there was a dark plume of a cloud of smoke looming over the city. It appears the fire was started by arsonists. The same dump caught fire two years ago.
